Tomorrow, muy de ma帽ana, I am going on a week-long trip to the state of San Luis Potos铆 in Mexico. This explains why I am blogging on thursday today, and I will be back in time to blog next friday.
Of all the foreign countries I’ve visited, Mexico is my favourite (although I’ve never been outside North America), and I’m really looking forward to travelling farther south than I’ve ever been. Not only will I be able to improve my Spanish, Lord willing, but I also hope to meet some people down there who still speak the old Indian languages (talk about Precolumbian!)
I plan to take plenty of pictures, and hopefully I’ll get some blogging material as well. 隆Adi贸s!
How did your trip to Mexico go? By the by, this site is pretty smart. I tried to enter a bogus address and it wouldn’t let me.
I’m interested in the fact that you use many traditionally British spellings (travelling and favourite, instead of traveling and favorite) is this a choice, a chance from your reading?
You’re right, I do like to use British spelling—perhaps for no other reason than to be different. I try to be consistent, but I’m sure I mess up sometimes. It’s the same dilemma I face when I write July 4th as 4-7-2007, later forgetting that I did so and interpreting the date as April 7th! :-)
